    ATLANTA (March 11, 2020) - After an extensive nationwide search, the Oglethorpe University Board of Trustees has unanimously elected Nicholas Ladany, PhD, as the next President of Oglethorpe University, effective July 1, 2020. Ladany will also serve as a member of the faculty, in the role of Professor of Psychology.
  • Reuben E. Brigety II elected 17th Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of the South

    SEWANEE, Tenn. (March 3, 2020) - Reuben E. Brigety II, dean of the Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University and former U.S. ambassador to the African Union, has been elected the University of the South’s 17th vice-chancellor and president by the Board of Trustees. The Rt. Rev. Robert Skirving, chancellor of the University and chair of the Board of Trustees, announced Brigety’s election on Feb. 28.
  • Centre College names Milton C. Moreland as its new president

    DANVILLE, Ky. (Feb. 5, 2020) - Milton C. Moreland, provost and vice president of academic affairs at Rhodes College, has been selected to serve as the 21st president of Centre College. A respected scholar of religion and an accomplished archaeologist, Moreland will begin his term on July 1, 2020.
